Henry "Hank" Salvatore Gebbia

November 25, 1937 - January 30, 2023

Henry Salvatore Gebbia of Chicago, Illinois passed away peacefully, with his loving wife, Ingrid by his side, on Monday, January 30, 2023. He was 85 years old.

Visitation: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2023 in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday following the visitation in White's Chapel of Memories.

Graveside Service: 2:30 p.m. Monday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas.

Hank, as he was known to all, was born November 25, 1937 to Andrew H. and Marie (Rush) Gebbia. He had a long and distinguished career in the United States Air Force, and retired with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant in 1984. Hank will always be remembered as a master mechanic, and was a passionate owner and restorer of countless motorcycles and cars. He was incredibly self-reliant, and no job was too big for him to tackle, even if he knew nothing about it at the onset. Most notably, Hank managed to live for 85 years without ever really growing up, and worked hard his entire life to instill this valuable approach to living to his three sons, Andrew, Tony and Richard. He spent a lifetime making everyone around him uncomfortable with his playfulness and silliness, right up until his last days.

He is survived by his wife, Ingrid; sons, Andrew, Tony, and Richard; daughters-in-law, Darla, Deborah, and Samantha; and grandchildren, Carson, Evan, Harley, and Rachel.
