Carson Paul Lobb December 1, 1941 - February 26, 2020

 

Carson Lobb was a friend to all and an excellent mentor for all of us that worked with him over the years.

Carson was a LIFETIME MEMBER of the AMTA

He supported the cause for the AMTA

Carson Paul Lobb, 78, of Cold Springs Road, Lewistown, died on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born Dec. 1, 1941 in Bangor, Pa., he was a son of the late Paul Lobb and the late Aldis (Miller) Peruso.

Also preceding him in death was his stepfather, Angelo R. Peruso; and a brother, Daniel A. Peruso.

Surviving are: his wife, Charlotte E. (Riley) Lobb of Lewistown; four children, Dale Thomas Lobb of Lincoln, Neb., Lorene (Lobb) Avendano of Long Beach, Calif., Carson Dean Lobb of Chambersburg, Michael Roy Lobb of Chambersburg; a sister, Lorene K. “Susie” Setzer of Wind Gap; two brothers, Barry L. Lobb of Lynchburg, Va., David R. Peruso of Lansdale; two grandchildren, Lara Patricia Johnson of Irvine, Calif., Gabriela Glynne Avendano of Beverly Hills, Calif.; and one great-grandson, Sebastian Archer Johnson of Irvine, Calif.

Carson retired as a Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force after serving for 27 years from 1959 to 1986. He was an air maintenance technician for the RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft. Following his time in the Air Force he worked in government civil service for 20 years.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 90 in Lewistown, and Post 606 in Ft. Loudon.

Private services and interment in North Bangor Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.

Harshbarger Funeral Home, McVeytown, is in charge of arrangements.
