Well July is
coming to an end and our get to gather is getting closer. Planning is
coming together. Our no
host dining out
will be at the
Tish restaurant
not far from the hotel, same place as last
time, at
6:30 on Friday Sept. 21st.
They have a nice website.
Philip Earsley is setting up
a visit to a Aircraft for the 20th.

A Message from
John Hurst, 2018 AMTA IR Organizer:
Hi AMT Gang,
I’m sending this email to
those folks for which I have email address that responded to my initial
request for names interested in joining me for an informal reunion
gathering near Offutt AFB, along with others I’m sure are interested.
After checking out several hotel/motel options in the Omaha, NE and
Council Bluffs, IA area, I have made arrangements for us to gather at
the Holiday Inn
located on the banks of the Missouri
River adjoining the
Ameristar Casino in Council Bluffs, IA.
This is that same hotel we enjoyed at our last gathering in this area.
They made it an easy choice. The rate I was able to negotiate was as
good or better than any other choices, based on price and the extras
they agreed to made it the best deal. Such as: |
 | A room
rate of $92.00 +tax (tax is
lower than in Omaha) per night (normal rate would be $129 week days
and $149 weekends during this period). Extra benefit of no increase
in room rate for anyone that wants to come in up to
3 days before or to stay 3 days after
the 19th through 21st
September official dates of the
reunion. I have a block of 25 rooms with the ability to add more.
Rooms not reserved by September 1, 2018 will be released and may not
be available at our group rate after that date. They have agreed to
add more rooms after we have reserved 75% of our 25 room block.
Guarantee method by credit card by each individual and they are
responsible for paying all charges posted to room. If an individual
reservation must cancel, notice of this cancellation must be
received by the hotel 24 hours prior to the arrival date.
To make reservations, guests are to call
712-322-5050 and ask for “in-house”
reservations and give the group name as “AMTA
reunion”. Coordinate shuttle
transportation needs through the front desk. Check in time can
not be guaranteed until 3 PM on Fridays and 4 PM on Saturdays. |

| I suggest that attendees that are not now
enrolled in the Holiday Inn rewards program (IHG) join before making
the reservation. Why not get an extra benefit by staying at this
property for future travel use. |
